Famke Filming Kiddie Ride

Famke is filming a new Drama/Thriller/Romance titled Kiddie World Plot: A strange group of people are caught in a circle with their common love of carousels. Their lives revolve around a recent death and an incident that took place in their distant past.

It is Filming now in New Jersey and Paris Famke is the female lead.

and speaking of horror films the straight to DVD sequel to House on Haunted Hill is out now on DVD if you were a fan of the 99 version go buy it , its not as good as the 99 but its still a load of fun !

i stopped posting here simply because Mycah of Famke-Janssen.org had an amazing site that filled everyone’s Famke news needs unforunately Mycah and her family lost their home in a terrible fire last week (read more about it here). She and her family made it out of the fire safely, which is truly the most important thing, but they lost absolutely everything they had and now they need a new home, clothes, food and all the other essentials. If there’s any way you can help donate even just as little as $5 to help them out, they would greatly appreciate it. Famke will be presenting at the 16th Annual 2007 BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia Awards on Thursday, November 1, 2007
Kathy Bates, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Fielding, Jodie Foster ,Bill Nighy and Reese Witherspoon will also be presenting awards. Michael Sheen (the queen) who is a good friend of Famke’s will be hosting and invited her to present.

Unfortunately right now none of Famke’s upcoming films have a US release date ,Turn the River recently premiered in the hamptons film festival and generated alot of buzz and won two awards Famke nabbed a special Jury best actress prize (which is a real acheivement considering they don’t give an annual best actress prize) and Chris Eigeman nabbed best screenwriter ,the film is currently in market so expect a distribution announcement soon it will probably have a limited release .

The Treatment DVD is out now so if you haven’t bought it yet go buy it!

The Ten DVD will be released in January 2008

100 Feet will be released sometime in 2008

and Taken will have a wide US release by fox sometime in 2008 (there just might be a trailer with hitman next month!) it’s french release is in Febuary

The Wackness will most likely premiere at the Sundance film festival this January.

there are various projects Famke is attached to or in negotiations for that might or m tight not get made they include a TV series by Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy titled Queen B about a brillant but ruthless CEO who will do anything to get what she wants and corrupts her young assistant (henchwoman). it already has a series order and Famke is in negotiations to star.

Peep World : and ensemble dark comedy from the makers of The Wackness (ya they got a thing for Famke!) Famke is already attached filming will possibly be this winter

The Possibility of Fireflies:Family Drama Famke was attached by it got delayed again and it is unclear if the film will still be made or if Famke will star in it.

1-Taken: Famke filmed this action film from the creaters of the transporter films co-starring with Liam Neeson , Maggie Grace and Holly Valance . the film is about the kidnapping of Maggie Grace’s character….which brings together her two divorced parents played by Liam Neeson and Famke Janssen to try to get her back from the slavers…. release date is summer 2008 wide by 20th centuary fox in the US and Europacorp in france.

2-100 Feet : things are looking good for Eric Red’s 100 Feet he claims that the movie is the best he directed and that Famke is exceeding his expectations by far you can read more on the official 100 feet blog http://joblo.com/arrow/blog/ 100 Feet has finished filming and will be moving on to the post-production phase in a few days.

3-The Treatment: is out on DVD in some European countries and is having a very limited release in the U.S. it did well boxoffice wise in New York however it financially performed much weaker in other U.S. cities

4-The Ten: two new trailers are availible for the ten though they show different parts of the same two scenes we saw of Famke in the teaser..the R rated one is much funnier ..they can be seen on the official site www.thetenmovie.com the ten is having its theatrical release by thinkfilm August 3

5-Turn the River: nothing really new on Turn the River but expect a big update soon on the official site (www.turntheriver.com)

6-Dylan: should be filming this summer in NY , LA , London and Wales .

New still for “Turn the River”

The Treatment official site has been updated with a new layout and a US release schedule it will first open in NY on May 4th.

NBC will be announcing its schedule on May 14th so we will know more about Famke’s pilot then the show is also rumoured to be renamed “Alibi”

100 Feet starts filming April 23rd in Budapest.

Bobby Cannavale (from Snakes on a Plane also co-starred with Famke in The Ten), Ed Westwick (from Children of Men) and genre veteran Michael Pare (from Bad Moon) are all joining the castlist Cannavale will play Shanks, the tough as nails Police Detective on the case. Westwick will tackle the role of Joey, a young man who befriends the lead Marnie And Michael Pare will be the vengeful and unapologetically brutal ghost out for dire payback. Filming for 100 Feet starts April 23rd stay tuned for more updates.

in other Non 100 Feet related news NBC will be announcing its schedule on May4th so fingers crossed that they will pick up Winters though they would be crazy not to considering all the big names involved.

the more experienced Detective CHRISTIE WINTERS. Winters is brilliant but difficult and has seen her last three partners quit on her. Nelson and Winters immediately clash. They must decide whether to continue working together while they investigate a series of murders involving partners in a small business.
[DETECTIVE CHRISTIE WINTERS] Winters is brilliant (she was once the youngest detective in the history of the LAPD’s prestigious Robbery-Homicide Division) and a
genius at reading and manipulating people. She’s also prickly, sarcastic, and difficult to connect with. She had a tough childhood, which made her a pessimist; she believes everyone’s dirty: half the people who get murdered probably deserved it; half the people in jail for murder probably had a good excuse. She’s beautiful, dresses well, and is constantly asked out on dates which tend to go badly, as Winters always finds something in the men to pick apart. Winters is under investigation by Internal Affairs, who suspect her of stealing money from dope dealers. SERIES REGULAR. ALL SHOWS PRODUCED.[DETECTIVE LUIS NELSON] Male, late 20s to early 30s. Luis grew up poor, with a single mom, in LA. A personal tragedy in his family pushed him towards becoming a cop. [LIEUTENANT ADAM MOLNAR] 45 to late 50s. Molnar is Winters’ and Nelson’s boss. Like almost everyone else in the Department, Molnar isn’t crazy about Winters. He’d get rid of her, except he knows she’s the best Detective in Robbery-Homicide. He can’t stand the way Winters jerks him around, but as long as she closes cases, he’ll warily tolerate her. [SARAH MURPHY] Female, early to late 30s. Winters’ younger sister, Sarah is her sister’s confidante and best friend. Sarah’s the only person to stand up to Winters; the only person Winters really listens to. Sarah made different choices in life; she’s got two young kids and is happily married to a man she knows isn’t perfect; she’s willing to accept imperfection in a way Winters cannot. Sarah’s a psychiatrist and sometimes gives advice to Winters about her cases. SERIES REGULAR. ALL SHOWS PRODUCED.

[RAYMOND BEAN] Late 30s to late 50s. An experienced Internal Affairs investigator, Bean approaches Nelson about Winters. Bean has been investigating Winters for years for corruption (stealing cash from dope dealers she busted). Bean shares a lot of qualities with Winters: he’s dogged (so much so he’ll tail Nelson for hours from headquarters) and smart, good at reading and manipulating people. [GENEVIEVE EGAN] Female, mid 20s to mid 30s. Genevieve is Nelson’s girlfriend of a year or so. She loves him but is tough on him; she knows his flaws and is not above pointing them out.

well the “untitled Shore/Blake” project finally has a title and it’s “Winters” named after Famke’s character (Famke plays Christie Winters)

the main supporting cast members in the pilot are Sarah Clarke (24) ,Dorrian Missick (six degrees) , Xander Berkeley (24) and Barry Shabaka Henley
